Visualization plays a major role in trying to conceive. The connection between mind and body are forces that power the subconscious to send signals to perform our desired outcomes. By using guided imagery, you can leverage this innate and powerful mind-body connection to achieve real and physical changes in your body. Pregnancy is one area where visualization is key in achieving a positive result. When a desired pregnancy does not occur it can lead to high levels of stress, anxiety, depression and a host of other changes that often cause a chemical imbalance setting off a chain of events. Many women and couples are at a loss of where to begin. Below I’ve put together a few things that helped me and hopefully that can help you get started in your own personal visualization process:
- Keep a journal of positive affirmations
- Create a Vision Board
- Guided Meditation
- Think about your favorite form of exercise and do it!
- Surround yourself with positive people and those who support you in your journey
- Light a candle first thing in the morning for a short meditation or right before bed
- Think about your baby! See it, smell it, touch your belly and visualize your baby in your womb.
Trust me, it works! This process rewarded me with two beautiful girls 🙂
Are you ready to pop some bottles in 2018? Is a baby in your 2018 plans? If so, we can help. Here at Well Done Babies, we would like to wish you and your family a safe and Happy New Year and thank everyone for your support in 2017. Whether it’s preconception services or assisting you through your pregnancy journey we’re here to help.
During the last year I’ve worked with many beautiful mothers whom are overwhelmed with the process of conceiving or not conceiving when they would like. Having had the same experience, we often have the mind set that we are on our own time and babies will come when WE want them to. In essence, spiritually, this is possible however, everything must be in sync. Mama’s vibrations must be elevated so the body can do its work. When we offer resistance we are saying to the universe the very thing we are asking for is not what we want. Being open and receptive allows for many transformations to start to take place, when we let go we allow the season that’s supposed to take place in our lives manifest. Be open, Be True, Be You.
As national breastfeeding month comes to a close, let’s focus on being connected and helping each other. Whether we nourish our children from the breast or bottle we all deserve to be supported and have a space we can come to and refuel our souls. Motherhood alone is enough to take calmness out of each day but remember we are our children’s source and with that comes a unique energy that needs to be rejuvenated. I urge and challenge you to talk to one another, look behind what you see; it can simply be a “hello” or “how are things going?” that can get a conversation going. For me, I meet many moms in the aisles of Target and it’s just a matter of time before we are talking birth! If you have questions, or just plain don’t know what to do about breastfeeding, being a mom, being a first time mom, sex after pregnancy, postpartum body or whatever your individual issue is reach out, send an email, google a support group or email us here at Well Done Babies and we will help, if we can’t you best believe we will find someone who can. You don’t have to walk this beautiful journey of motherhood alone…..Be Open and Receive!

Not only is it important to have positive support, energy, and love around you during labor, it’s also important to have some essentials in your birth environment that will give you a feeling of calmness and tranquility. Here’s a list of some things that made me feel a little more comfortable during my stay at the hospital plus several more:
* iPad, iTouch, CD player etc. something that plays music!! Be sure to have your music selection ready to go well in advance so you won’t have to fumble with it, luckily my hubby was on the job so I did’t have to worry about music 🙂
* Candles (If allowed, you probable can sneak one or two tea lights shhhh)
* Incense or Oil and burner/diffuser
* Video Camera or Cell phone (some places will not allow you to film so be sure to check, we weren’t allowed but did it anyway shhhh…lol…)
*Birth or exercise ball
* Lip Balm
* Birth/Prayer Beads
* Rice Packs (filled w/dried lavendar or whatever you choose and rice) you can use it hot or cold.
* You favorite water bottle
If you’re giving birth at a center or hospital you may want to check their policy on some of the items listed.
I’ll be doing a post soon on remedies to help soothe before, during and after labor in the next couple of days, if you have any questions about any of the items above please feel free to contact me at Yvette@welldonebabies.com
